How much are apartments that have 2 bedrooms, fully furnished cost. We don’t really care where and we would be splitting rent with another couple who also makes minimum wage.

depends what part of ca youre in. prices vary by area. go check craigslist.com for some ideas. thats what i did.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a good website to find info on apartments in Manhattan?

I’ve tried craigslist, apartments.com, apartmentfinder.com and some others and they don’t seem to have a ton of options. Can anyone help me find a service that specializes in Manhattan or NYC? Thanks.

Apart from those services you mentioned, the only option would be with a real estate agent. Unfortunately it is about as hard to find a good apartment in Manhattan as it is to hit it big on Broadway.

Realtors are notorious for snatching up listings and securing prime apartments to list.

What is the turnover rate of rental apartments in New York City?

Posted by admin on November 28th, 2009 and filed under apartments rentals | 2 Comments »

I’m looking for the most recent monthly or annual rate of turnover for rental apartment units in NYC. If you can find it by borough, that would be great too. Either the percentage or numerical value will work!

    Thanks!

I doubt any one agent knows this, as there is not one governing board.

NYC is not like the rest of the country, NYC has a housing shortage. I doubt the turnover is more then 5%. This is just an educated guess though.

Can anyone give me the names of some very nice gated, high-end luxury apartments in Las Vegas? Like where everyone would live if they could? Thanks!
Thanks for the link, I did try some rental sites but its kind of hard to tell that way, I thought I’d ask some locals.

How is it that illegals rent apartments?

Posted by admin on November 28th, 2009 and filed under rent apartments | 4 Comments »

I have noticed that even though places ask for application and social security numbers and IDs they still manage to do it?
How is this so? It is astonishing?
What loop hole is there that can allow them to do so?

money talks. enough cash and someone will do anything. You’d be surprised. Often large security deposits or you will see that they are paying more per month. other than that. is if someone sublets it to them.. they rent it from the person who is actually renting(illegal in most places).

WHat exactly does Furnished mean in reference to apartments?

Posted by admin on November 26th, 2009 and filed under furnished apartments | 4 Comments »

My husband and I are now looking for an apartment to move into. I have never personally lived in an apartment so i virtually know nothing about them. Can someone please explain to me what "furnished" consists of? Also, what is the "clubhouse" for?

You really have to check with the landlord offering it. It means different things to different people.

Sometimes everything down to the linens is included, just like a hotel.

Sometimes furniture and TV is included.

Sometimes it is very basic and just the necessary furniture and no extras.

The clubhouse is usually a public space that can be used for meetings, parties and stuff like that. Again this is different different places, so you really have to ask them.

Where can I find dog-friendly apartments in Metro Manila, Philippines?

I’ve been looking at a lot of apartments in the Metro Manila area. And though I’ve seen some that match my space needs (around 30 sq meters) and my budget (which is around 6 to 8k); I haven’t found any dog-friendly apartments.

Landlords tend to get prissy when I mention that I’ll be bringing my dog along. Where can I find dog-friendly apartments in Manila?

Dogs are live stock there. You will likely have to increase your budget to live somewhere that stealing your dog is not going to be an issue.

Why don’t apartments have a light fixture in the Living room?

Posted by admin on November 26th, 2009 and filed under luxury apartments | 2 Comments »

Every Apartment, including luxury apartments do not have lighting in the living room. I have always wondered the reason… And if you can find an apartment with them in the living room.

    Thank you for your answers…

more flexibility in room design without a fixed light. they figure that you can add lighting where it is needed with table and floor lamps. i’ve seen a lot of apartment bedrooms without ceiling lights for the same reason. well that didn’t come out sounding right, nothing meant by it though. the main thing is flexibility in furniture placement. good luck, enjoy your new place.

Where can I find out about people looking for full time rental apartments in Collingwood?

Posted by admin on November 26th, 2009 and filed under rental apartments | 1 Comment »

Also would help if listing showed people looking for accomodation.

For the most part people who are looking for an apartment go for a newspaper. That’s where you want to be. If you have a property take out a classified advertisement. It may also be helpful to have a for rent sign on your property and see if the corner neighbor will let you place a for rent sign with an arrow and address in his/her yard.

If you’re near a university you may find a "looking for a roomate" board where you may be able to post your listing.
