In NY there is a program where an agency pays up to 75% of the rent, and the tenant pays the rest.

We are moving and we are wondering if anyone knows the percentage you get off a rented apartment for preffered employees. Such as Military, DR, Teachers Etc…

depends on what the apartment complex and the company offer.
One we were at was 10 % off for us with the cable company that supplied the cable to the whole complex and 5 % for others like the main phone service and so forth

The difference between any type of apartment or condo is that you rent the apartment, usually under a lease agreement; you purchase the condo to own (you’ll have a mortgage on it just like buying a house).

I manage an apartment building. There is one unit that has been vacant for a year. 2 bedroom and 1 bathroom. It’s in Los Angeles county. The last tenant that was living there was paying $1,100 a month. It has already been reduced to $900. Still can’t rent it out

Yes. The real estate market has driven the rents down. The economy has driven the rents down. Even though you have reduced the price, if the price was right, it would be rented. It might be a little high for what other local properties are renting for. There might be a substantial problem that scare away renters. Near the trashcans, laundry, etc. There are many people looking for apartments due to losing their homes though. Marketing your property would help. You could market the property yourself or hire a realtor to do it for you.

No, they are never sold furnished. The only time you get a furnished place is when a show flat is sold and it will be specifically mentioned. The furniture you are seeing either belongs to the seller or is rented to ’stage’ the place for sale (easy to spot the difference as staging stuff is always white to make the place look larger, nobody in their right minds would actually have white sofas and carpets).

Even kitchen appliances are often not included in the sale. That’s why you see language like ’space for a refrigerator’ in the property details. In practice though, the seller is usually willing to include these items at a price.

My friend was evicted from her house due to her now EX boyfriend. She is expected to be out and gone in 6 days. She has no internet, and is having trouble finding out where she is going to go next. I am contemplating on moving to Argentina as i am a dis-abled American whom has trouble making $/ends meeet here in the u.s.a.-i do know that the exchange rate is like 3/1$ in favor of the u.s. currency however i am having trouble finding affordable/cheap housing there as i keep running into travel agaencies w/comprable rent to America’s=so please help me find on my computer;links,ect=as to get my housing finincial needs met in Argentina…thanks & may god bless you!!!Robert A.

I live in Winston Salem, NC and I plan to move into a luxury apartment soon. First, I have to find one that allows pets because I am definitely not given up my dog. After looking on apartment-guide, rent.com, even craigslist, I can’t seem to find an apartment that in located in Winston Salem that has all utilities included with the rent. The most utilities that I have seen so far are water and trash.

You are not likely to find this, it would be extremely uncommon, most people pay their own power bills.
